Salter Spotlight 11.1
Today's spotlight is on the Foods Around the World blog, which is so interesting. Instead of focusing on ethic foods in America, this blogger started by talking about bugs eaten in Cambodia. Ew. And also...awesome! Then, she has given us a look at an app that will help us translate Italian dishes. As with all good blogs, she really makes this a conversation about the topic - inviting readers to imagine what each post would be like to experience. I can't wait to use the app!
The Videos Have Begun!
The team has decided to create a video to begin a fundraiser. While we are a school that has more resources than some, what we have is unpredictable and often useless. We think it would be best for students to each have a tablet to work and create on. They also want to travel to colleges and possibly abroad to learn more about their futures. To those ends, they'll be asking for small donations from family, friends, and the local community.
Great minds need great resources to do great things.
Organizing 75 people to create one product is a big undertaking, but they've really done great work already and are excited and moving forward. We expect to be done by Thanksgiving break. Pictures to come soon!
